8th Grade Girls Track

This year we had about 25 girls on the 8th grade girls track team. The season went by fast because half of our meets got canceled from rain and storms. Most athletes were able to pick some events that they wanted to try, but sometimes the coaches would place athletes in events they thought would be best. It was a funny and great season for the 8th grade girls. Most of us went to sectionals in Geneseo. We did well there and got 3rd place overall. The girls that made it to state for the 4x200 are Amaria Mayfield, Nathalia Rivera, Jazmine Cunningham, and Kadence Tatum. The 4x200 was ranked 17th in the state of Illinois. Kadence Tatum also made it in the high jump. Overall, this season was amazing for the 8th grade girls track team.
