Spring Band Concert

On Thursday, May 16, there was a band concert held and the 7th and 8th grade bands performed, followed by the Jazz Band. At the Spring Concert every year, the music department chooses pop music to perform at their concert. The 7th and 8th graders performed a wide variety of music, such as a Star Wars Medley, the Pokemon Theme, the Game of Thrones Theme, a West Side Story medley, a Harry Potter medley, See You Again, and many other songs. Afterwards, the Jazz Band performed in the lobby, with some guests from the high school Jazz Band along with them. In between the groups’ performances, some 7th and 8th grade students presented Mr. Slothower with a retirement gift. This year will be his last year at Wilson, so if you get the chance, stop by and say goodbye to him. Overall, the concert went well and all of the groups sounded their very best.
