This year the girls track teams did an amazing job at all of their meets. This year was also the year that 6th graders were allowed to participate in track. The 6th/7th grade girls were coached by Zach Gray, a former Wilson runner, and the 8th grade girls were coached by Mr. Perkins. At sectionals, the 8th grade girls finished in 3rd place with two qualifying for state, and one 7th grade girl qualifying for state. State Qualifiers were Sammi Veto (High Jump), Nailah Anders (Discus) , and Lucy Irvine (Hurdles). Sammi ended up finishing 6th, setting a new record for Wilson for highest finisher at a state meet, and Nailah finished 22nd overall.
