8th Grade Boys Track

This year’s 8th Grade Track team had a very successful season! The team’s first meet was against Glenview and Seton, and Wilson won! Our second meet was vs Geneseo, and it was a very close meet. We lost 54-59. Geneseo won The Heartland Boys Invitational meet with 127, and we get second place with 93. We got 3rd place overall at thr Bettendorf meet. At our conference meet Geneseo won with 142, and we got second place with 108. In our Jack n Jill meet our 8th-grade team combined got second place. In our sectionals meet we got 3rd place. Alan Nightingale ran a state qualifying time and our 4x200 and 4x800 teams nearly missed their time. The teams were made up of Thatcher, Paquin, Davis, and Gountandi. At the state meet, Alan ran top 20 and set a new school record. Great job to all athletes this season!
