March Madness

This year for March Madness many teams were the same but there are some new faces we haven’t seen for awhile. Like the Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State, and Some teams surprised the audience with great wins like 12-Liberty vs 5-Mississippi State. Liberty won against Mississippi 80 to 76. Another surprise was 5-Auburn vs 2-Kentucky, which Auburn beat Kentucky 77 to 71. Another great upset was 13- UC Irvine vs 4- Kansas State, and UC Irvine beat Kansas State 70 to 64. Most people were rooting for Duke to win, but when Duke went against Michigan they lost by 1 point. It was a big surprise for everyone to see one of the favorites to lose. The teams that ended up playing in Atlanta for the final four were Michigan State, Auburn, Texas Tech, Virginia. In the final four Virginia beat Auburn, 63 to 62. Then Texas Tech beat Michigan State, 61 to 51. In the final, Virginia got big leads against Texas Tech but Texas Tech always fought back. They went into overtime and Virginia ended up winning 85 to 77.
