Tennis

The girl's tennis team consists of eight seventh graders and two eighth graders. The 2018 team captains were Simra Babu and Siri Chintala. This year, all the players got better and many won matches throughout the season.

Player Interview:

Nishitha Mekela is a 7th grader who loves to play tennis ever since her dad inspired her. She’s been playing tennis for 3 years and enjoys playing because it’s a “fun and athletic sport. She also gets a sense of satisfaction when she wins a point.” Mekela loves playing singles because she doesn’t feel guilty when she misses a point. This year, she played doubles in the tennis tournament, however, and she and her partner got second place. She is really proud of accomplishing this and hopes to get better and win first place next year.
