The Wilson Wildcats 8th-grade volleyball team (9-7) had a successful season in a very tough conference. They were coached by Mrs. Lyon. Every team Wilson played went 3 sets. The highlight of the season was when the Wildcats won the Sterling Tournament. Coach Lyon says, “They really became a team and were great team members, plus they were one of my favorites to coach. The 8th-grade volleyball team this year consisted of many well-rounded members, whom of which played very well together as a unit. They had many wins and losses, but overall they improved as a team over the season. Coach Lyon wanted the team to take this quote with them: “Take pride in how far you have come. Have faith in how far you can go.” Hopefully, lots of these players try out for the high school volleyball team next year.
