Hey, have you heard about the Lights on for Learning (LOFL) program? Well, it’s a program for students who enjoy clubs, need homework help, and/or enjoy reading in the morning. This program offers a variety of activities that gear towards developing a well-rounded student. Our Wilson teachers play a big role in this because they dedicate their time and knowledge to those who participate.

Why should you participate? Well, this programs offers a lot for students who love to grow their knowledge. To add, the program gives kids a safe environment. Also, the program is held before and after school, so that you can have extended learning time. I feel that this program not only helps students with learning but helps you grow as a person. Ms. Weeks says, “Students find their grades going up as well as their confidence. I have students that I work within LOFL that participate more in class because they know they are on the right track. I love it!”

All in all, the 21st Century Grant is impacting many students of Wilson through its activities and learning opportunities to become better students.

For more information go to the WMS homepage under the LOFL tab.
