Student Congress Elections

Have you heard about the student elections for Student Congress? Well, many great candidates have participated in the election, and had wonderful ideas to better our school. Did you see any cool signs hanging in the hallways?

The posters ranged from snapchat posters to google search bars. During an interview, Mrs. Resler and I spoke about the interesting designs that the candidates had. “They were very creative and decorative,” Mrs. Resler said. In my opinion the candidates created great signs that drew the students’ attention. How has the election affected kids a Wilson? Mrs. Resler said that “There are a lot of kids who want to make Wilson the best school that it can be.” In addition, I think it is important to have kids who want to help and see Wilson get better. One thing that was interesting during the election was when candidates had to present their speeches. I thought that it was important that the candidates spoke about what they would do for Wilson once becoming president. The speeches were very informative and gave lots of information on why they should be elected. To add, they spoke about their characteristics, and how they would lead. All in all this has been a great election, and I am happy that people want to better our school. Everyone did a great job campaigning, but the following students won and will be the officers for next year:

Student Congress President: Chelsey Highly

Student Congress Vice President: Arshdeep Kaur

Student Congress Secretary: Jaqueline Raya

Congratulations, everyone!
