On Tuesday May 23rd, parents and other guardians eagerly filled into the auditorium to listen to the final choir concert of the year. The mood was exciting and it was hard to ignore it. To start off, the Seventh Grade choir sang “Best Day of My Life”, “Don’t go breaking my heart”, “Firework”, “When we were young” and “Thriller” After that, the Select choir took the stage. They sang “Corner of the Sky” from (“Pippin”), “Pure Imagination” (From “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”), and “Africa” featuring soloists Joe and Peter Adams. To finish it off the Eighth Grade choir sang “4 Chords” (A Choral Melody), “Can’t Help Falling in a Love” from (“All Shook up”), “Lava” (From the Pixar animated short) “For Good” ( the slideshow song) with soloists: Megan Lodico, Liv Franks, Regan Tucker, and Mercedes mitchell, and “Bohemian Rhapsody” with soloists Gaige File and Nicole Artemyev. Needless to say, the concert was a huge success. It’s always amazing to see the progress our choirs make from year to year!
