Donald Trump and the Pope

Trump recently went on an overseas trip to Saudi Arabia, Isreal, Rome, and other european countries. In Saudi Arabia, he talked to important officials to discuss the U.S. selling them $110 billion worth of weapons. In Isreal, he talked to Benjamin Netan Yaho, and In Rome, he talked to the pope. It was a tense meeting because of their heated relations in the past. He also visited Palastinian leaders as well.

Ariana Grande concert Bombing

Right after Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester, England, a suicide bombing occurred. It left 22 dead, and 59 injured. A 22 year old Libyan, who was born in Manchester, committed the crime. He had been to Libya a few times before, and was involved in ISIS.The bombing affected many families, and left many hearts torn apart. Ariana has canceled the rest of her tour, and says on twitter “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so sorry. i don’t have words.” Please keep in your hearts and minds, those that have died, been injured, or been affected in any way.

Great Pacific Garbage Patch Cleanup

In the Pacific Ocean, there is a place where swirling currents concentrate trash. We call it the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. It has been created by man, because we litter our earth. But now, 22 year old Boyan Slat, a Dutch University drop-out, has a plan, and is taking action. He founded the Ocean Cleanup Foundation, where they are working on solutions to this problem. He wants to use long distance floating booms, that will act like coastlines, and gather plastic and other garbage as it drifts near the surface. They will start within 12 months, 2 years earlier than planned. They estimate that half of it will be cleaned up in the next 5 years.
